| G'day. G'day mates. I'd just like to firstly say that I'm not a hairdresser nor do I have any interest in the field. I just know this is a Warragul-centric board and therefore thought I would join for the sake of the community. I live in Warragul, obviously but I travel into the city on weekdays for work and studies. I am a convert to Islam of 10 months yesterday (Alhamdulillah) and have had a lot of trouble finding other Muslims in Warragul (SHOCK HORROR). Whilst I am Male, I come posing a question for a female friend of mine regarding places where sisters in Islam can have their hair done. Like are there many private salons at female hairdressers homes around this area? Also, could there be a guarentee that no men will see? Further to this as an unmarried man, how possible is it to avoid physical contact with non-mahram (marriable) women in this field? It does make some uncomfortable. Thanks. Warragul's Muslim Community. (Population one?) Oh! AND a friend of mine referred me to here. Guess who. (This was months ago) Last edited by Islamic Warragul : 17-05-2008 at 07:50 AM. |

| With all due respect...this is a hairdressing community. Religion is not on the agenda here at all. And just so you know we do have lots of Islamic members mainly from Pakistan on this board. I bet we have 10 other religions too for that matter. However, who cares? We're into hairdressing here. Since you're not interested in hairdressing i'd suggest you find another community that would be more suitable to your interests
