| So probably a pair of Excellent Edges own branded scissors would be good. I get my apprentices to buy a pair of Yasaka 6" to start off with. The thinking behind that is they are almost bullet proof in their build. They are long so later they'll use them for blunt cutting with an option tohave one blade modified as a serated edge for further advanced use. I other words, they'll use these forever as aback up pair. However, Yasaka's won't slice (which is good as i don't teach that until later so there's no temtation there) Try to spend about $400 only. As you'll need to build up your collection as you go. Call Excellent Edges and ask for Rick or Sue. Tell them Carl from Chumba Concept Salon put you on to them (trust me that'll get you some attention) I'll try to Podcast Rick and Sue about scissors soon to (maybe a video Podcast series) Cutting comp's - depends where you are? Tell me your state and i'll post the info. |
