| Hair Cutters how do you become a sole hair cutter and do nothing but? i've meet apprentices at courses and school etc that are still in their apprenticeship and do nothing but cut and style dont even go near the colour room, is this a major thing in salons now? or do you think its best to colour first then learn the art of haircutting? whats everyones opinion? |

| personally i think its important to even just learn bother, your apprenticeship is about leaning as much as possible in your 3 year, you may not like a particular aspect but learning it is important, you may even like it once you know what your doing. i love my cutting to probably a little more then colour, but being able to learn both (well) has been a real help. once you have the knowledge and confidence to decide on what you wont to do then do it but give it a shot. and be happy to even be given the option to learn both, some places wont give you the chose to do both. |

| In my opinion it is very important to be able to do EVERYTHING and do it well. Now, I am currently streamlining the operations of my salon, and one of the things I am looking at is that colourist colour, and cutters cut. This is to streamline the salon operations and increase productivity and like someone said you should be better and faster if your only doing one thing.
