| Hair Expo loses it's head. As you may have seen on the forums front page, Ann-Maree Mason has stepped down from her position as the head of Hair Expo. Ann-Maree called me the day after the announcement to chat about the matter. She expressed her wish that this news should not reflect poorly on Expo or Reed Exhibitions. In fact Ann-Maree was and is overwhelmingly positive about the plans they have for Hair Expo & assured me that all was already in place for the future of the event including it's successful rebranding. Ann-Maree also let me in on her new position which is with Redken Australia. A brand which is very close to her heart and obviously an opportunity too good to pass up. So what does everyone think? I didn't see this coming at all but my gut feeling is that Expo will steam on to bigger and better things. Is this the first time a non-hairdresser has had the top Expo role? What will that mean i wonder. I reckon Redken is now a company whose future looks bright too.
