L'Oreal Colour Trophy - cancelled for 2008?

Hmmm....
a rumour is a rumour until it's confirmed right?

How's this rumour that L'Oreal will not run Colour Trophy in 2008?
Instead they're thinking of aking the event a bi-annual affair. Perhaps they'll replace the gap in the calender with a beefed up Style'n'Shoot that will include a senior category in the presently apprentice only competition.

hmmm.... it's only a rumour but i think it has some legs this one.

You'd hope that L'Oreal Professional would make a publis statement before stylists run out and spend up big on what is one of the more expensive photoshoots on the calender.

fess up L'Oreal and save us all some time & money.

The L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy will be transformed and staged as a biennial event (i.e. every two years), launching in 2009.

Called on by the industry, the time has come for a truly unique event capable of identifying true talent, developing and refining the skills of emerging talent and profiling industry individuals to achieve lasting success.

It is our dream to push forward the industry standard. The L'Oréal Professionnel Stylist Awards will be launched in March 2008 and will continue on as a biennial event (every alternate year to Colour Trophy).
