Redken

Just checked out the Redken site, pretty cool, you have to register, great education calendar on line, as well as some education tips. I used Redken as an apprentice and loved it, so I enjoy keeping up to date with them!

I'm a big fan of toning with the REDKEN EQ shades semis.

the titanium colours are really fun to play with and a good toning mix for a soft beige is 1/2 09N + 09V

Shades EQ is a great color to work with! So shinny!
I use to make a cool color called smoke, it was a great steal grey color, great for creative work! It was clear with a drop of onox(I think that is it, black)!
Personally I love the 3r on my hair!
The only thing with shades that i did not like was flicking and dropping on the floor and walls because it was so runny, but that was just me being a messy apprentice!

they make colour thickener now that you add to the EQ's to make them jelly like.. which is good for me as i hate applying with a bottle..

You should try and get your hands on some of the titaniums then.. they go from 6 to 9 T which is a really strong true silver.. i had my hair white at the start of the year with pastel pink and silver pieces..

also at the demo night they showed us ways of adding them to colours you really wouldn't expect.. in a tint they did a level 6R with the titanium.. it was a beautiful cool red without the use of violet.. you cant really imagine it till you see it
