| New L'Oreal blondes? Has anyone used the new formulation of L'Oreal blondes? They're saying that these new hilifts are better than the old. The old version used to throw lots of gold of course and lift to only a 9 level. Do the new ones throw as much Gold? Do they lift to a genuine 10 or 12 level?

| I am waiting for a demo! Or some feedback on the site, Seeing is believing. My salon stocks full lorieal but the current hi lift blonds were to warm for us so we sneak the wella hi lift in. Hoping the new formula will be as good as the wella hi lift! Cheers

| I have used the LOREAL Hi lifts and they recommend you only need to use 30vol on lighter bases with the new product, however I've found it goes quite gold. I have a client who is a base of 7 and 30vol was way too gold definately use 40vol. The development time is now 50mins but it still was gold. |

| The new formula is slightly better with reducing the gold, but still a touch gold for the clients. Do you just use Loreal HI lifts or others?

| We use the Wella 12 series blondes (shh... don't tell L'Oreal!) No seriously the L'Oreal Majiblondes have always been really really gold. I think LP has tried to address this but in all reality any German brand hilight is superior (Wella, Goldwell etc). Why this is IMHO, has something to do with the prevailing undertone of the whole range. L'oreal is warm and softer to look at. Wella is harder and more matt, very cool across the range. Thats an educated guess anyway. There's a rep/technician or two on this forum so lets hear from them on this one?
