Bazar hairdressing accident

Im sorry Pete, but I must tell all of your most bazar hairdressing injury!
Out team competed at the ihs comps on the weekend in Melbourne. Fresh onto the team was our newest recruit, 1st year apprentice pete. Pete bravely agreed after only 4 months of hairdressing to enter mens haircut and ladies cat walk.
As you can imagine he was excited and very nervous. An early prep was on the cards for his catwalk model, meticulously setting the models hair on chicken bone rollers! So the rollers had to process under the standing nanna dryer!
To make the nanna dryer portable it comes apart in 3, it was petes job to cart the dryer to the event, huge cumbersome thing it is!
So getting to the injury part, after all this hard work, it was time to put the dryer together. Pete concocted the pole to the wheels and as he was adjusting the pole, the spring let go and wacko full pelt into petes mouth!
Blood every where, pete was rushed to the Alfred hospital where he received stitches in the mouth and lost a tooth, yes he lost a tooth at a hair comp!
To his credit, he was back in an hour and did compete in his event, shaken and daysed! A first comp to remember!
I feel pete should get a huge trophy for just making it out onto the floor!
Well done pete, so sorry about your tooth!
He is a member so he may show a pic for us!
Beware bazaar workplace accidents with standing nanna dryers!
Dose any body else have any bazar incidents to add?

Talking

Poor Pirate Pete!! Quite a bad and bizarre accident, but at least we are getting much comic relief from it with every toothless smile, and his new lisp. We'll have to wait and see how he looks with a flashy new gold tooth!!!
Good work Pete.

lol, so i lost a tooth at my first ever hair comp. A crazy start to my career as a competing hairdresser!

we have all had a good laugh over the whole incident which is definitely what id hope for in a situation like this. its pretty nasty to loose a tooth, but the fact of life is, you have to just get on with things, and look forward positively at least it wasn't my eye or something.. haha

i believe these comps are a really important step in our journey to become great hairdressers, their a crazy experience to have, which not every hairdresser gets to experience, i feel i would have let myself down if i hadn't have got straight back to the venue and competed after my medical treatment. I will continue to challenge other hairdressing friends to participate in these comps!

I have learned so much in these weeks preparing for these comps.
cant wait for the next one! See all of you there!!

Pete

It's just like when I worked as a bouncer/Bodyguard for 20 years....You gotta learn when to duck!!....lol

You'll look back on this and laugh one day, good luck.
